Gesundheit! Institute Annual Clown Trip to Ecuador, January, 2013
Come clowning, loving, playing, laughing at the equator line, where the hemispheres of care and activism join together to re-design our caring characters and a new desirable society! Patch Adams MD, Susan Parenti and the clowns-performers-composers of the School for Designing a Society invite you to join them in the annual clown trip to Ecuador, for daily clowning in hospitals, clinics and streets, clown-skill-building workshops, and red noses amazement!
Columbia 2012 Encuentro, Clowns Without Borders (CWB)
Tim Cunningham works with Barnaby King and the Pasos providing teacher trainings and workshops. The collaborative team create a touring performance with local children and from it, they develop a sustainable training program for the next three years. The team will also consist of hospital clowns from Manizales and a social worker from Bogotá. This project marks new directions for CWB as they work towards bringing the joy and developing systems so that the "joy can sustain itself everywhere we go." Belen Project, August 8-18, 2012, Peru . . . After the Flood . . . Gesundheit! Institute and Bola-Roja Clown Doctors of Peru brought together 106 clowns from 10 counties to clown in Belen which had been flooded by the Amazon River from February to May. Read their story here.
